“ Really great steak and nice service, good menu. Convenient to our hotel. Decent selection of sea and land foods. ”
“ I had a date with my girlfriend at Firewood and the experience exceded our expectations; the flavours of every dish with their combination is oustanding. ”
“ A favorite in PC during Sundance. This was a between-screenings drop in, and they quickly whisked me to the bar for a drink and bite. The atmosphere = the name - beautiful dark wood and brick make for a warm ambiance. The drink - Woodlands, a smoky variation of an old fashioned - but nicely dryer and absolutely delicious. I chose two small plates and they did not disappoint. The trout toast with smoky cabbage, bacon, goat cheese has a surprising twist of hibiscus onion that sliced through the smoke beautifully. The winter greens salad with castelfranco, endive, Brussel leaves, blue cheese and huckleberry was similarly delightful. Friendly service, and they adjusted my drink to make it carry more smoke. Lovely as always! ”
“ This place is cool. Has a nice vibe great background music at just the right level of volume. The service is too notch extremely professional and kind. The food was very good not the most amazing I have had in my life but very very good. I would definitely go back but keep in mind very expensive. Cocktail and wine are outrageous at $24 a glass. Bread is $8. I believe the Elk was $60 something. Definitely need deep pockets. ”
“ Our first trip to Park city and, as foodies, we picked four high and restaurants to dine at during our trip. Of the four firewood was our absolute favorite. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was engaging and funny. She took excellent care of us and put up with our corny jokes. The food was absolutely wonderful. The crispy pork belly was delicious. My wife had the Bavette steak and I had the Wagyu ribeye. Both were perfectly cooked. The potato au gratin side was so good that after I got home I have been working to re-create it. The ambience of the restaurant is wonderful with a lot of wood and big iron doors. The food service and ambience all came together to make it a wonderful dining experience. I don't know when we'll be back in Park city but if we do we will definitely return to firewood. ”
“ We love this place. Our third time here. Highly recommend the wagyu steak. I've gotten it 2x in the past. We tried all the steaks with our group and wagyu was top choice. They cook steak to true temp so if you like medium it's truly a medium. The elk steak was good as well. Cheesecake desert was bomb. ”
“ What a wonderful dinner! So perfect for a cold winter evening. Everything is cooked on a wood fire, so it feels and tastes so cozy! Our server Raul, was fantastic. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. There were 4 of us, and we started with martinis served with blue cheese stuffed olives. Our local friends reminded us that Utah does measured 1.5 ounce pours. Kind of funny that the olives took up more room in the glass than the liquor! LOL. The drinks were good though. The amuse bouche was a good indication of the meal to come. A small toast with sun dried tomatoes, blue cheese and micro greens. As a first course we shared the Smoked Trout Toast, (which was delicious. So moist and fresh!) and the provoleta, which is a meaty cheese served grilled in a small cast iron dish over elk chorizo. So good! We then shared 2 Little Gem salads, that were served with with 2 slices of delicious hamachi, and a grilled le,on. We each tried a different main course. My pork shank was outstanding!!! Wow. What a real dish. The meat just falling off the bone. The Elk Tenderloin was beautiful, tender and delicious. The New York was perfectly cooked and had a delicious char, and the lamb was also equally tasty. All meats were served with lovely accompaniments and beautifully plated. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert, but we left very happy! ”
